Really, really helpful would be a counter droid that could sense/get started on the typical sorts of trails & follow them, dissolving/short circuiting the electrical properties as it goes. Some of them are very hard & I imagine they argue that they are not causing structures to physically collapse with the insertion of hard carbon fibers. But the counter device only needs to disconnect them.
