    There will be, over time, a lot of interesting research to figure out what makes “code” resuable in a programming context that is mostly metaprogramming & general. My quick train of thought today was motivated by the perspective of a non-techie who is producing multi-media magazines & mini-courses. In meta-programming world there is not an issue of reusing binaries or object level source. But what is he reusing from the work that produced an action video game, for example??? Ultimately, the inheritance chart view of things will probably be either CASE/CAD aided or passe.

    For example, a set of “IDE” feature requests might include a broad facility for both importing & communicating with selected media objects about the desired forms & styles of some content, coupled with convenient mnemonics for naming the derived entities. “Surfer Chick in this style is named SusanBoard.”
