joshQ: What sort of team structure might fit sadist gaming that differs from WOW type forms?
A: Structural ways to create both sabotage & Fog Of War under time constraints. So a master plan could fool either many individual actors on the other team or some kind of electronic voting for action.
Also the broadcast of events wins & especially losses focuses on the team structures.

joshCaution Thought: The role of “fantasy” here should probably be split in two or more parts:
One the one hand, there is a kind of emotional distancing from “reality” which might appeal to softies & turn off sadists. I’m concerned that sadists may insist on more anchoring in real world things they relate to.
On the other hand, there is freedom & excitement in breaking away from conventional rules. The game play/development can allow increased levels of pow error, law breaking, mutating, etc.
Duke Nukem might be more prototype than fantasy orcs.

joshI identify “Dominance Fans” as another key Deep State predator group, with a Venn diagram relationship to their sadist peers.
What features in gaming would appeal to Dominance Fans? Examples of dominance in PvM are ubiquitous, so I believe the key focus has to be on setting up PvP dominance situations that appeal to the target group while creating eco-system incentives for the weaker side to frequently try their hand at their usually losing role.
Also there should be a creative hierarchy/taxonomy of dominance winning forms that can be highlighted as achievements. Dominators may have to take more risks of losing in order to reach the most celebrated types of achievement.
