What experiences, if any, have you had with talking/texting extemporaneously into the ear of live broadcasters who had no idea who you were??

The combination of “new news story format” without commercials or subscriptions or much syndication is odd. New news stories of substance don’t arrive that quickly. Perhaps they were hoping for more syndication and didn’t realize that politics would block it. Reporters already strive to provide context…I think it makes sense for them to maintain, online, larger book-length stories – like their Drone Wars for example, but more attuned to Internet/Wikipedia style. And these larger contexts can include a lot of summaries of other people’s work too. Use RSS, Tweets, Podcasts, driven by interesting updates to the larger contexts that they want to emphasize. Investigators, writers, and context managers/researchers/web devs can all contribute in different ways (the same person can wear more than one hat too).
