Wanting to be hetero is a tick penalty. Example person (not an indy being sex killed) is for passing challenge interview – here the goal is to fail so any plausibly attractive male would do as an example regardless of their reality. An example isn’t needed. Point is to stay in position until true allies arrive. Some people go for more serious tics to prevent being in-die. IMO, it is fine to attract attention as a wishful defector and then wait for allies to state a big penalty.
