Revisiting this topic in light of my low information view of some recent era GT struggles. There are issues with holding elections that involve spy attacks on the election & spy attacks on officers. The nature of spy attacks though favors more direct voting, not less. The voting system itself can be used to make decisions about how much representative authority is delegated for how long & at what level of decision making.

Overall, there has been tremendous progress. It often doesn’t feel like wins because GT is not battling an indifferent nature – it’s battling a malicious world mafia state with overwhelming power & an ability to continuously ramp up how much effort it is putting into fighting vs. appeasing its own members.
