The IoT of things is added to drainspouts, lightbulbs, monitors, etc. I started using roof flashing steel to block in 2014. The old steel was inert, but some of the new product can be hooked up to IoT of things wireless as a sensor. I block some of the cut pieces & apparently then can switch to others.
