Family story is that my great, great gf on my mother’s side came over to Charleston during the Civil War, and finding all of his relatives away in the Confederate army, ‘he’ went to stay with relatives in central PA. His son saw Lincoln on a train as a young boy, and grew up a patriot. He painted his house red, white, & blue during the Spanish American war. His son, my gf id, enlisted in the Marines during WWI.
