I’d like to be winning my EMF war, most of the time, but lately I’ve been losing a lot. Zotero informed that Firefox changed their extension format with the new browser so Zotero for Firefox and other extensions will no longer work. However I can’t get it to work at all on Windows 7. It runs for me with no GUI output at all. Lacking experience with the domain, I intuitively guess that having most of the data already on the local device is a (the?) key factor in the preference – no need to keep reloading it all the time, so it is faster/richer. I’m not looking to mobile app for my small purposes, so I was looking at techniques to store most data locally between sessions. Not actually sure if that is very relevant to me or not, but it seemed like a good practice if one is doing “mobile first” web development…dealing with what’s important to that experience.

I found my first, or perhaps second instance of Grammerly making an outright mistake. I started a sentence with the singular WordPress and used an ellipsis in the middle – Grammarly stylistically didn’t recommend the ellipsis, and ended up claiming the sentence had a plural subject, wrongly claiming some verb should be pluralized.

It’s been a brutal day in terms of flux. What is different?
