They trotted out some local woman with one leg on a gurney. I’m not sure that she was a Spook – she didn’t do anything special at the store. But maybe it was some kind of theme or Sphinx riddle.

“Policy discussions” remind me of the scene from Finding Nemo with the Great White Shark character.

Let’s pause to consider who on the FBI/CIA team has been recognized or promoted over the last 4 years and what activities that was in recognition of. Any comments? Who were the stars?

The hidden mentor that keeps the FBI what it has been, what it is, & what it always will be. ??

I was thinking about how John Brennan and Mike Pompeo might be dead or alive (if you’re alive, you’re doing a little better than the average)…& think that La Forza del Destino is (IMO) one of Verdi’s best works, but not performed as much as others because of an unlucky reputation…I see that being around the FBI is truly unlucky, but most people don’t find a good strategy for upping their chances. I believe that being vocal, loud, and “paranoid” is a good strategy. Being clever doesn’t seem to help.

Also relevant is the example of many countries where the CIA went in and created a leadership void – Iraq, Lebanon, Somalia, Afghanistan, etc. and fighting just goes on and on. Who is leading the world today? Some dude nobody knows about in a back room somewhere talking in cryptic tongues? CIA calls it progress when they “destabilize” some far away place, but now the US is destabilized and it might not seem so great to live through it.

What would J. Edgar Hoover think of Robert to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off?
