Making some list of “successful” designs can also provide concrete motivation for designing automated assembly systems for the designs & seeing how much re-use of automated assembly design gear can be achieved – at least to shorten the design lifecycle.

  Clear plastic tubs with lids, available in stores like Target/Walmart, don’t cost very much, even for the larger sizes. Saying that all of the ingredients have to be in a clear plastic tub to start could be a helpful standardization.
