Some other points:
NatSec/Law/Media should try hard to pretend to have a real missions vs. everybody knows its fake & good guys should not get in the way of anyone elses criminal lark/take/mission etc even when it obviously embarasses the precepts of the fake “mission”.
e.g. why was a an undercover mission stung & then abused? Noticed they were good or had an opposite sex attraction/fling when they were young or were female, etc. so secretly they have no rights. Why does sting matter??? Clearly that makes a mockery of NatSec concepts. Right, NatSec concepts in prose are 100% bullshit. It’s about hunting citizens & torturing them for fun, etc. But not everyone in NatSec realizes that. So doesn’t it hurt to the mission to expose the fraud? Shuddup…
It can go on for a long time like that or not. Usually the biggest spy club wins.
