In reality, military leadership also sanctions attacks on all indies, especially those who look like they might manage some good economic gains/wealth or influence. But at the same time, they use armies of troops in the field who are not fully informed of their policies. Those troops are less happy to sabotage people solely on the basis of being indy or being accused of being a ‘p’ that the sabotagers are somehow blocked from spying on.

Increasily, military attacks are cyber attacks using drones/IoT while outside troops are their for logistical/installation, observation, & blocking aide to isolated victims. Again, being hip to the tech used by cybers spooks offers another kind of advantageous defense. There is no silver bullet for the reality of being a non-mafia rival, but this looks like a good starting strategy.

I should say more to contrast arty, consensual, & innovative uses of the technology vs. crude historical precedents.

One kind of usage is like a conversation with an intimate who uses EMF tacticle, audio & images to enhance their textual conversation. The difference is analogous to a filmmaker’s documentary vs. reading of a book. The extra visuals/music & touch add synergistic dimensions.

When GCHQ uses IoT to poke people & harass them it is absolutely not consensual. In GT designs, who can connect & when is something you can control. So for example, you could sleep but permit a long distance lover or child to gently wake you up with nudging if they have a need or desire to connect at some point while you are asleep.

The perceived tactile strength of the connection can be light or strong, like being grasped by powerful hands or a heavy weight. The possibility to break capillaries & cause brusing is not nearly at the level of the nerve signal & can be safely regulated to prevent it from ever happening.
