His girlfriend while I was MIT was named Fei Xu. Some continuation that identity is in Child Psych at Berkeley. Marcus apparently graduated from UMass Amherst, for unexplained reasons.

This 2013 paper sole authored by Fei Xu has LCs, complaining about some guy only being gay – https://www.karger.com/Article/Pdf/351279

So it’s a mystery. Wikipedia doesn’t seem to have the full story, whether or not any of it’s story is correct about what happened.

Perhaps Marcus got hooked up with a different woman who is the she of the Wikipedia article.

Perhaps the LCs in the above article are not persona for Fei Xu.

Hard to say.

I’m reading Wiki better on a second pass today. It is claiming that the original Marcus was an in-network sub and that his in-network status is why an in woman chose him for a BF who wouldn’t be attacked/killed. Those are both different theories from present day, but maybe they were true to some people or group at the time. Wiki also seems to claim that he started investigating what happened to me & why. And that the original was taken out in 2005 because of gaining some knowledge about what must be true about ‘A’.

I should check out the LCs in his published books prior to 2005 to see if that idea holds water.

Maybe he wasn’t really gay? I wouldn’t know. I wasn’t that close to him. I didn’t see him with any gay men, but in people don’t show outsiders any gay connections. He was younger than normal – precocious, small, needlessly argumentative…the kind of guy who could mature to be a completely normal good guy, or kind of off. Anita knew him from Hampshire College and didn’t say anything specifically bad about him but wished to avoid him, on what seemed like social/uncool grounds at the time. His Wiki bio says nothing about parents.

Regarding the book that was written after the original guy supposedly got replaced, Wiki says “Marcus’ 2012 book, Guitar Zero, explores the process of taking up a musical instrument as an adult.” The phrase and title is a bit mysterious. I am wondering why u didn’t see him as in network if he was & if that is because he was theoretically in a higher/more secret info bracket. How else would he have learned those things? His bio says nothing about birth/life in Baltimore, so maybe he was a completely in child destined for the World as a “genius” who fell of the Rectum Mafia wagon because that wasn’t his character – he was actually a straight science homebody?

Anita’s personality was a big blab/gossip, not interested in keeping any personal secrets. If she was living a double life & keeping all kinds of secrets then she was the best spy ever. I don’t believe it. She may have had small secrets she didn’t understand, but I don’t think she knew much.
