In the Philosophy of Science, Karl Popper famously put forward the view that any claim which is not even potentially falsifiable by an empirical experiment cannot be a scientific theory. In some similar sense, where “I did it for national security” can be used as a subjective carte-blanche for any crime, murder, lie, etc. then there is no law at all in that area. It is a purely totalitarian criminal enterprise. I believe that is the reality of the CIA/FBI – they became purely totalitarian criminal enterprises, taking advantage of stupid flaws in the National Security Act of 1947 and related law/practices.

Was it Constitutional for Congress to pass a law saying that a Spook king is free to ignore the rest of law? No. It obviously wasn’t. It simply hasn’t been challenged in court because that reality was hidden from the public and other laws were passed that blocked court challenges (any court challenge can be arbitrarily blocked in the name of national security, as Sibel Edmonds found out).

“FBI Admits It Was Not The Russians – Launches Manhunt For “Insider” Who Leaked CIA Docs To WikiLeaks

I assume this headline was deliberately conflating the nonsense claims about Russian hacking of DNC with the (non claimed) idea that Russia was behind the Vault 7 release. It would be better for Indy politicians to focus on the all the real zingers/lie exposes/etc rather than conflating ones – I should have made this comment at ZeroHedge, but I’m not registered there.
