JoshI’m thinking it probably has something to do with longstanding treaties with the mafia. Except that the CIA usually breaks its treaties. Maybe the Catholic Church is still important?

JoshFamily business connections are particularly important in Italy. So they don’t go for CIA phony IDs showing up and running things or pretending some other nonsense about who they are and what they are about?

JoshI don’t feel that “attack the media” works well for Trump. But I think his base are people that put a lot of value into people that aren’t being phony or talking down to them or dismissing their issues or unable to see their POV. To some extent, attacking the MSM gives partial cred with that group, while turning off a lot of others and getting him into trouble.
We need to dispute the media in a different way, for better reasons, and we need allies, so doing the unobjectionable things I mention above in unobjectionable ways is helpful too.
The blowback against Trump is being used to try and stop us too. So that’s a terrain obstacle. I see all sorts of blogs that have been writing mostly good, important things for several years…but yet didn’t manage to grow any audience. I’m extra handicapped from even having a real audience…so I’m thinking about those problems as I go.

JoshI didn’t like the reply about the football players, only because I see it as silly to believe their stories about these different groups extend to the power elites/decision makers. Probably it was just banter and not even meant that way. Still, I feel it’s helpful to make a habit of not getting stuck in low level in people’s false stories, and focus on bigger, real world things that have a lot more chance to be true.

JoshI’m going to lay down soon and catch some sleep because the timing works out, and I didn’t sleep long this morning.

JoshI feel that John Kiriakou is basically honest. He reached the level of head of CIA counterterrorism in Pakistan at one time, and he was not hip to a lot of the crime and nonsense. He was surprised to learn about some of these things even known to specialists on the outside. I think that is the point is that the overwhelming majority of Spooks do not know about most of these criminal things. They only see either no criminal things or the set of things that are right next to them. The people that carry out “dings” do not even know what they are doing or anything about someone dying, usually. In my case, they see there is something screwed up going on, and they get replaced in regular shifts. People involved in carrying out things that are purely criminal are given false stories and trained/selected to not be curious. There may be other people like you who cannot contact the outside world.

JoshDifferent categories this has been applied to
1) Originally claims of new, fictitious current events of precise extent
2) Personal slander
3) Conspiracy Theories
4) MSM political propaganda
5) Anti-establishment political speech
Each group tries to falsely co-opt the premise that their target is what a bunch of other people are united against.
