publication description NASA has envisioned a suite of lander test vehicles that will be flown in Earth’s atmosphere to incrementally demonstrate applicable lunar lander performance in the terrestrial environment. As each terrestrial rocket progresses in maturity, relevant space flight technology matures to a higher technology readiness level, preparing it for inclusion on a future lunar lander design. NASA’s “Project M” lunar mission concept flew its first terrestrial rocket, RR1, in June 2010 in Caddo Mills, Texas. The Draper Laboratory built GENIE (Guidance Embedded Navigator Integration Environment) successfully demonstrated accurate, real time, embedded performance of Project M navigation and guidance algorithms in a highly dynamic environment. The RR1 vehicle, built by Armadillo Aerospace, performed a successful 60 second free flight and gave the team great confidence in Project M’s highly reliable and robust GNC system design and implementation. This paper provides an overview of the GENIE system and describes recent flight performance test results onboard the RR1 terrestrial rocket.

  ‘Leah Beno’ is kind of an interesting name. Below, my random train of thought on that theme.
  
  I really liked living in the Valentine Hills section of Arden Hills. The green spaces & laid back style was somewhat reminiscent of Merion Station, PA where I grew up. Leah Krause also lived in Merion. We didn’t have any deep interaction. We were together in a “car pool” at some early stage – where to – I think it was “Episcopal Academy Day Camp” where I was observed to be a kind of Belgium trick, ala Pinball Wizard. Leah’s Mom was sharp & did not arrange any special play dates or parties for us to warm up at. A few years later, “Roth Chapin”, a boy in my class, moved into a house next door to The Krauses. In reality, that boy was kind to me & his rich boy’s house was a fun play date, including a pinball machine in the large basement/rec room. Ellen Leung, daughter of my mom’s good friend, was my matched early childhood playdate. She did get dinged, & she did join the Good Team, twice.
  
  What does it all mean today? I believe that Charlotte’s Web and not the Flintstones became the Deep State choice for a Hanna Barbera production of my life. As in World War I + II, Belgium quickly fell to the Germans. The military Deep State of today is more focused on no penis rather than no love interests, but the investigative premise of “Person A loves or lusts for Person B” may still be enough to knock both of them off their T – a potential strategy for Good Team to investigate. I do not believe that a true A is required for this.
