Research MD I worked for at UMN was friends with a Math Prof at Florida State from when they had done a fellowship year together in UK. So he liked to bring him in on research grants & he got a postdoc protege, later a jr. faculty protege named “Monica Hurdle”. Not too meaningful, but I know that Deep State is wild about name jokes.
