KeymasterIn an earlier thread on Virtual MultiSystem DNS/Hardware ID Scheme I wrote about the utility of allowing the possibility of universal message passing between unafilliated networks. Where the light “servers” for this sort of thing can be *held* at known locations & used for security debugging purposes, it can help support the robustness of other goals. One can consider how to make such an arrangement itself maximally robut to unwanted interference.

joshByzantine Network fault tolerance is a topic that has been studied in the Computer Science literature from a mostly theoretical perspective. Here, let’s acknowledge that many practical problems in networking exhibit too much complexity to solve analytically and are best addressed with simulations. Recalling earlier notes on improving VR Models for Private Security Analysis & Tech I suggest an extension/new version of that competition with a specific focus on creating realistic models of network robustness for GT. Support crews should help to create a platform/framework for increasing the complexity & realism of simulations in terms of the size/variety/topology of connected networks, timing issues, cost/economy issues, service policies, & various forms of byzantine failure resulting from spy attacks & pressure on provider/component sources to misbehave. Alternative measures of security/robustness to failure can also be modularized. Models compete for best overall solution approach & most realistic simulation testing in a multi-factor framework.

joshOne kind of unique issue is this: sources say that various work related roles require the use of various special sorts of government mafia passes referred to as “ids”. These are expensive to get & maintain, while frequently being canceled by the mafia government for the reality of being noticed as not belong to it in reality. Incorporating realistic models of resource control/usage for activities that depend on special mafia passes is a kind of feature of interest to some/many.
